Junior Designer applications now open.

We're on the lookout for an ambitious Junior Designer that's ready to develop their existing skills in an exciting, fast-paced, creative agency environment.


SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Interpret design briefs supplied by senior team members
  • Develop creative design concepts that meet the objectives of the supplied design briefs
  • Ability to execute these ideas from initial creative concepts right through to design application and final supplied artwork
  • Clearly articulate all creative thinking and decision-making to the wider team
  • Juggle multiple creative projects from concept through to completion
  • Successfully collaborate with external creative suppliers such as copywriters, illustrators, photographers and retouchers (when required)
  • Assist the wider team on a variety of projects as required
  • Receive feedback and direction from the creative director and senior designer and be able to action this feedback accordingly
  • Work with the Creative Director, Senior Designer, Senior Strategist and Business Director to ensure that projects are managed to deadlines and budgets
  • Stay up to date with design trends, software and tools to continuously improve the quality of outputs

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

Experience:

  • Whilst previous agency experience is not a pre-requisite, any previous industry experience or relevant internship will be viewed favourably

Formal Education and Training:

  • A degree in Design and/or Visual Communication (or similar) is required

Skills:

  • Strong conceptual thinking skills
  • Strong drawing skills
  • A clear understanding of layout, colour and typographic theory for both print and digital media
  • Ability to understand and follow a clear creative brief
  • Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Highly skilled in Adobe Creative Suite – specificially Adobe Illustrator, Indesign, Photoshop, Lightroom and After Effects
  • Will be trained in operational systems if not already familiar (e.g. Workflow Max).
  • A good understanding of industry best practices
